Oral Sex and Frottage

Hello Doctors,

I am just writing in order to provide my personal experience so that others can take note and use as an example... 4 months ago I went to a massage parlour... We indulged in a body to body massage... There were unprotected frottage.. then she performed unprotected fellatio.... and i performed cunilingus... this was all unprotected.... since then.. i have been troubled by the idea of being infected by HIV.. i read from time to time in this forum... eventhough the doctors here have reassured that oral sex carries only minimal risk, it did not stop me from self diagnosing myself... the result... 3 months of pure stress and anxiety....

i took a syphilis test 1 month after exposure and it came back negative.... and after 4 months.. i just went and got tested for HIV... the clinic used the rapid finger prick blood test.... and after 10 mins, i was informed that i was negative.. the doctor mentioned that this was conclusive since it was over the 3 month waiting period....

anyway... my advice to you guys... just wait it out for 3 months.. and get the test.. you will feel much better... and stop reading up things in the internet... anxiety is your number one enemy... most doctors do mention that oral sex is a low risk activity.. close to zero... the reason why they can't say zero is simple... take for example, the occurance where someone is hit by lightning... it rarely happens... the risk is close to zero... but from time to time we do hear that someone is struck by lightning... so i believe its the same with HIV and oral sex...

sorry for the long rant... i'm gonna get my full std test soon... going to check for chlamydia and gonorrhea... i do not have the symptoms... but its better to be safe... this whole experience has taught me a great lesson... one i do not intend to forget.....

You don't advise people that haven't had an exposure to test.
