Recurring Illnesses

So I'm a 57 yr old male.  Single, but very active sexually.  No risk factors as I understand them...no unprotected vaginal or anal sex.  Quite a bit of oral sex (giving and receiving, man/woman only).

Having a strange medical history last 3 years or so.
2008....month long low grade fever (less than 100) tired, achy...
2010...same thing
2011...April, strep throat....July low grade virus again...Now...very sore throat...URI...tired, achy feeling...

Never been tested....always believed I was no risk and not to stressed out about it, but I've been reading about increasing suceptibility to infections, viral and bacterial, as HIV takes a toll on the body...

Is what I am experiencing over 3 years a typical pattern that I should be concerned about?

Thanks in advance,
Mr. Jones

Fingering is not a risk with or without cuts or abrasions.

As long as you continue to use condoms for anal or vaginal sex you will continue to be HIV negative.

Lizzie,

Since you seem to know what you are taking about...I have always wondered about finger play (uncovered) in vagina and anus....is there a risk factor based on any cuts or abraisions in the finger area?

Thanks,

Mr. Jones

Thanks for confirming what I believed to be true...I didn't mention that maybe 25 of my sexual experiences over the last 10 years have been with escorts.
Same thing....no unprotected V or A sex...only oral...
Does that change your answer at all?

you've had no risk from what you've reported.

if you are having health concerns...see your dr.   it's not hiv related.
