Reoccurring tonsillitis-help

Hey everyone! 3 weeks ago I had a threesome with two friends. It was unprotected oral and the guy used the same condom for vagainal (which is where the risk comes in right?). 5 days later I had what looked like tonsillitis. There was white spots on my tonsils with mild sore throat- almost unnoticeable if I didn’t think about it. Went to the doctor and was negative for strep and had no swollen lymph nodes or fever. This cleared up on its own in a little under a week. Now today, about two weeks later, I have what looks like tonsillitis again. This time with chest congestion (burning sensation) and some achiness. Again no swollen nodes or fever. I know symptoms can in no way determine or diagnose. I was wondering if the presentation of the symptoms (type and timing) along with the associated risk warranted worry. I will get a 4th gen duo next week. Thanks!

You didn't have a risk for HIV.  HIV doesn't transfer from person-to-person via a re-used condom, or any other object.  Additionally, HIV symptoms wouldn't occur that early.  Forget about HIV from this event.

You were at risk for other STDs and bacterial infections, and may wish to check for those.
