How is my risk no risk? I mean there are sites that tell you how to properly take off a condom in order to be completely safe. If taking off a condom incorrectly can pose a risk how is what I did not a risk? Especially given my girlfriends symptoms that fell into the correct timeframe and my chronic now actually diagnosed adenoid issue that is well known to be an hiv precursor.
I know you get a ton of people that ask these rediculous questions so I hate to take up your time with yet another but . . .
Would you get retested if you were me. I honestly don't want to. It was almost impossible to do it the first time. But it feels almost irresponsible to not given my own estimation of risk and current symptoms.
You do great things for people here. I can't tell you how much I respect your opinion. Ultimately I'll make my own decision but I will definitely take your thoughts on this into account.
You never had a risk of contracting HIV.
So my eustachian tube dysfunction was just diagnosed as adenoid hypertrophy or enlarged adnoids. Obviously I am freaking out now given the fact that I've read a ton of stuff on-line that says 1.) this is highly uncommon for adults and 2.) it is very common for HIV infected individuals.
My risk is protected vaginal with two different csw's. The condom appeared intact after both. Not being able to climax with condom on I took the condom off and masturbated myself to completion (not sure if it was with the same hand I took the condom off with).
My negative test was 11 weeks after first exposure and 9 weeks after the second.
Most people say that complications from HIV don't happen until years after the initial exposure. I am only now 4 months out from exposure so it seems a little early for complications of this sort from hiv but . . .
So my questions are:
1. Does the presence of such a common hiv issue like adenoid hypertrophy and chronic etd change your assessment of my 9 week negative test?
2. Is it possible that the reason I tested negative on the antibody test is because I am not producing adequate antibodies. And the lack of antibodies is what's causing me to experience late stage symptoms early?
Sorry but this new diagnosis along with my continuous ear and sinus issues have me freaked out.
Thanks Lizzie.
Just really hard to believe that I could have this really funky issue with my ET's. I mean I've never had anything like this ever (I know I know that's what they all say). I really want to just move on but the daily pressure in my ears is making me slightly insane.
you read correct information...what you described is not a risk.
if your g/f has hiv...she didnt get it from "you"
