Hello doctors, I took a 4th generation HIV test at 9 weeks (cmia, detects HIV 1,2 and the O subtype) and it came out negative, could it be considered conclusive?
Yes. We always like people to also express their risk because very often, people don't understand what is and isn't a risk and often worry for nothing.
But yes, your test is conclusive at 9 weeks and you do not have HIV.
Condom breaking is a risk and requires testing. However you would know if it broke as that is always quite noticeable. Glad as well you are negative. No need to worry anymore.
