Risky Behavior leads to strange feeling in Neck

I had unprotected sex with an ex boyfriend of mine.  I had an HIV test in January and it was negative so I know I hadnt contracted the virus from sleeping with him before.  On the other hand, I havent slept with him in three years and I dont know what he has been doing lately.  As far as I know, he does not have HIV, he has told me he doesnt but it still worries me.  I do know he has had sex with several people but he is not a drug user.  I had this unprotected encounter with him 3 weeks ago and about 3 days ago I began feeling a fullness in my neck directly behind my ear.  My glands are not swollen (which was confirmed by a doctor) I have no pain or tenderness. I have absolutely no other symptoms other than this odd feeling behind my ear. Is this fullness a symptom of acute hiv infection???  At this point, it is too early to have a test done and this nagging feeling in my neck wont go away so I turn to you all in hopes that someone may have some advice.

You can test 3 months post your last unprotected sex to obtain a conclusive test result. Your symptoms are not ARS.
