I think I'm being paranoid

5 years ago I was promiscuous and had multiple partners. I contracted trichomoniasis but got it cured and was sent a lab result in the mail by doctor saying all the tests run were negative except for trich. I am in a monogamous relationship and have annual physicals and blood work done. I have no symptoms of any kind of infection but I'm scared that I possibly could be living with HIV without knowing it. I thought about getting tested next time I go to the doctors just for self reassurance but this promiscuous behavior happened so long ago. Am I just paranoid? My boyfriend of almost 5 years got tested 2 years into our relationship for HIV and it was negative. I want to say I'm in the clear and a lot of the journals and posts I've read on here have made me feel better. What would you suggest I do? I don't think I have anything just the thought of it being a possibility freaks me out. Please help.

Yeah I'm pretty sure I did 5 years ago and I haven't had sex with anyone besides my boyfriend since. But I agree there is nothing wrong with getting tested. Thanks for the reply I feel a lot better about it now. I'm sure it will be negative if I do get it done.

The rule is simple. If you have had unprotected anal/vaginal intercourse with partners of unknown status you must get tested.
Just take an antibody test any time now ((or 3 months after your last risky exposure)). But, do get tested. You owe it yourself and the people around you.
