Definition of open wound that leads to HIV transmission?

I would like to know what an open wound is defined as with regards to HIV transmission? Everywhere I read, open, actively bleeding. But this could also mean a paper cut, a shaving nick, a scratch etc. So are these the type of wounds you refer to when you say there is a risk of transmission? Or does the wound have to be very deep, profusely bleeding & requiring stitches? I'm only concerned because if I touch a door or any surface that has blood on it and I have a small freckle sized, but fresh cut on my hand (by fresh I mean a few hours old, but still slightly bleeding) then am I at risk?

we have already answered so many times , if you are still worrying get yourself tested with DUO after 28 days.

I know but I can't get tested every time I have a scare. So for one last time I just want to understand how severe a wound must be. And I want to understand that if blood is on a glass door, then I would have seen it right? If blood is smeared on a glass door then there is no way one can miss it right? I'm having anxiety about whether or not there was blood on the door I touched with my open cut.

Ok. And for the second part of my question; if blood is present on a glass door would I have seen it? I'm not asking because my eyes are weak or anything, I'm just wondering why I'm having anxiety over this. It's a simple thing I know. If blood is present any normal person can see it & if it's not present then it's not.  And so if I touched the blood with my cut, there is still NO RISK correct? This will be my last question on this topic. I won't post again.

I can't answer what you would or would not see, but not playing "what if". Seek a therapist to help with anxiety issue. You had no risk.
