How accurate are the 4th Generation Blood Tests for HIV?

Hi,

I recently had a low risk (possibly a no risk) incident. I have had a 4th Generation Blood Test that tested for both Antibodies and P24 at 4 weeks and at 8 weeks that we sent off to labs. Both of these are negative, but my doctor told me to get one more at 12 weeks just for precaution. So I have 2 question;
How accurate are these 4th Generation Blood tests at 8 weeks?
What are the chances of this result changing to positive from negative in the weeks between the 8 weeks and the 12 weeks?
Thanks

Ah basically sucked on the nipples of a couple of strippers when I was drunk. Bit of a fear of 'left overs' from other men she had been with getting into my mouth. I've had a few people say it is pretty much no risk but I have persisted with the HIV checks and I have done two so far. So I was just wondering how accurate the 4th Gen Blood tests were at 8 weeks and how much of a chance it could turn to positive in the last 4 weeks. Just to put my mind to rest
Glad I asked.  You never needed to test in the first place. This is a non risk. Duo tests are conclusive at 28 days and can't believe ANY doctor no matter how uneducated would recommend you continue to test from this non risk.  You don't have HIV.  Time to get over your anxiety.
I also smelled the Stripper's underwear when she took them off (no idea why, too many beers), so that was part of the reason why I wanted to get tested twice so far. Is it actually possible to get HIV like that through your nose doing that?
Only non sex risk is sharing hollow needles that you use to inject with. Sniffing is a long ways from that, so you need to move on from hiv.
You had no risk and tested twice for nothing. It seems you are trying to justify your multiple claims that you had a risk based on the idea that the multiple testing you did had a purpose - but it didn't.
