Sink - Public Bathroom - Stupid decision.

As my title suggests, I made a stupid decision. I was in a public restroom, with a counter top around the sink. It had an auto soap dispenser that shot soap out after I used  it. I tried to wash it down with out touching it, but in the process got a lot of water on the sink that was heading toward the floor. I decided to clean up my mess, so as not to injure anyone. I grabbed some paper towel and wiped around the sink. I then got worried, as I do t know of there was anything on the counter, blood, etc as it was a dark counter top. Would any of my actions put me at risk? Testing? I have a family at home to worry about.  I know environmental contact isn't a risk, but I went beyond mere casual contact as I cleaned it without gloves on. I have dry skin with cracks etc.

Thank you in advance.

If you don't do any of things that transmit HIV, then you should never have an HIV concern.

Thank you. Unfortunately there is a lot of back and forth information on line, which doesn't help. Do you suggest anything as a guide or education? Or should I just keep in mind for myself and my kids that outside of unprotected sex with someone positive or drug works, my family is completely protected?

No risk and no reason to test.

Thanks. it was stupid, i just didn't want to leave a mess. Even if my bare cracked hands touched it? I couldn't tell if there was blood or any other body fluids there, but the counter/sink was already wet. Not the  most sanitary place, and I worried about if someone was there just seconds before I was.

Still no risk or testing?  No need to worry about being with my wife or anything? Thanks in advance!

You didn't have a risk and you don't need testing.

HIV is unable to reproduce outside its living host (unlike many bacteria or fungi, which may do so under suitable conditions), except under laboratory conditions; therefore, it does not spread or maintain infectiousness outside its host.
