How would I know if the condom broke

Hi I had protected sex and i heard a little sound with my condom but when we were done my condom was still completely on and tehre was no breakage. If my condom broke would I know it? How do you guys know small holes do not happen? Small holes just dont happen!Condoms are designed to fail catastrophically if a hole was present. It just does not happen.

Also, would the manner in which i take the condom off make the difference between getting an STD and not getting one (like if vaginal fluids got on my penis? NO

Thank you for your quick responses. I just have anxiety over a recent encounter I had. I thought I might have contracted an STD like Hpv since sometimes my anus feels moist for no reason, but I don't see any warts or blisters, just a very slight moisture that makes sitting uncomfortable. And since I think this might be an STD, it worries me since I was wearing protection and thought that it might have broken.

Also, when we started sex I left a half inch in the front for the semen to collect, but when we were done (after about 20+ minutes) my penis had moved up the condom and there was no half-inch of air, but my penis was completely protected. I did not ejaculate but I'm just wondering if this is normal and that there should be any doubt in my mind that I was unprotected. Sometimes I have horrible HIV anxiety over nothing.
Two quick questions:
