physically possible to reuse/retrigger blood lancet from HIV rapid test?

Hi,
last week I had a HIV test in a local clinic (Mexico city), it came out negative, but then I started to freak out in the possibility of the clinician re-using a lancet to take the drop of blood from my index finger.
The type of lancet he used was one of those that are very little (like 4 cm long) and had a green cap on one side, and that triggers the lancet and immediately retracts it. I had an INSTI rapid test, so I guess those lancets were provided with the test kit.
My questions are:
is it physically possible to re-use or re-trigger these lancets? or are they really single use?
if it had blood and was reused, would HIV survive long enough to have infected me??

I am very thankful for all your answers, been quite anxious recently.

thank you Lizzie :D

so you're telling me that these kind of lancets (trigger ones) are only single use?
I mean, can they be used again after they are triggered?.
The clinician had several of these in a container on his desk, so I guees they're disposable, but I was kind of nervous.

Can I move on and stop worrying about an HIV exposition?? or should I get retested for these worries I have..

thank you very  much :D:D

most lancets these days are single use throw aways.

EVEN IF it had been used before (which i'm sure it wasnt)...you would not have been exposed to hiv.  hiv is not transmitted from environmental surfaces or inanimate objects.  once exposed to air, hiv becomes inactive and unable to infect.
