Unprotected Vaginal Sex & Possible Hiv Symptoms?

I am a 23 year old male and on November 28th of this year I had unprotected vaginal sex with my new girlfriend (20 year old white female) for the first time. (Prior to this we had sex on four different occassions and we used condoms every time). We also discussed our sexual history and std testing. She told me the last time she was tested for STDs and HIV was at her most recent physical exam (she plays soccer in college) in July and that all her results were negative. However, she has had one other sexual partner prior to meeting me and I think they only had protected sex (thats what she told me) but I am not 100 percent positive.

The last time we had sex (Nov. 28th) we both decided that we did not want to use a condom until right before I wanted to ejaculate because neither of us really like condoms but our main concern was preventing pregnancy. So thats what I did, we had sex without a condom for about 10min then I put the condom on and continued to have sex for about 2mins before I ejaculated in the condom. I took the condom off and threw it away in less than a minute. The next day I noticed a "maroonish" discharge on my boxers which kind of alarmed me and since then I have been thinking about hiv and the possibilities of infection. It was not alot of discharge but clearly noticable. She told me that she was at the end of her menstration and that she had "no flow" she wasnt even using a pad or tampon when I took her clothes off so I was fine with that.

12 days later (Dec 10th) I get sick. And i RARELY get sick. The last time I felt any type of sickness like this was 2006 and that lasted 2 days. I started to feel a bit nauseated when I woke up in the morning and I had diarrhea once that day. I believed that it came from the food I had eaten the night prior. I felt a bit under the weather but I still went about my normal activities. The next day I thought I was feeling better but about 30 min after I ate breakfast I had diarrhea again and my the nausea came back along with slight fever. I also vomitted one time on the 2nd day after I drank a bottle of gatorade and some water (The nurse told me that if you drink too much fluids at one time when you you have a stomach virus it will cause you to vomit). I also had a night sweat when I went to bed but it was not "drenching" just sweat on my forehead and armpits. The nausea and slight fever only lasted for the rest of that day but the diarrhea continued once or twice a day for the next 5 days. I called the nurse at my hospital and she said that she believes its a stomach virus and that I need to drink clear fluids and start a bland diet to help the virus pass through and if the symptoms dont improve I should come to the emergency room.

After the diarrhea stopped I began to have abdominal pain and cramps on my left side as well as bloating after I ate almost any meal. I developed constant gas and it seemed like I alternated between constipation and soft stools every other day just once a day for the next 4 days before the pain and bloating subsided. Now I just have gas and constant burping after I eat or drink along with constant stomach noises. And I have one soft stool a day in the morning. I dont think its diarrhea but its not the same consistancy my stools used to have. I havent recognized any other symptoms besides neck soreness and fatigue but I think that from the stress and anxiety I have developed. I was still able to finish my finals at school and go to work part time so I dont think I am too fatigued. I check for symptoms everyday. Ive litteraly turned into a hypochondriac. My girl knows that I have not been feeling well and she has helped take care of me but I have not told her my fears of HIV at this time because I dont want to scare her anything like that.

So my main questions are the following: Can symptoms of ARS occur within 12 days? I have read that usually they occur 2-4 weeks after exposure. And I know im at 12 days so that might as well be 2 weeks.
Do my symptoms (such as the bloating, constipation cramps, abdominal pain, gas) sound typical of ARS? I started searching the internet for symptoms of HIV and they say diarrhea is a very common symptom which has caused me to become overwhelmed with anxiety.
If it was ars, wouldnt all my symptoms go away at the same time or can they come at different times?
How is fatigue defined in relation to ARS? Would you be able to handle everyday activitiesif you are experiencing fatigue during ARS?

Sorry my post was so long winded but I just wanted make sure I give a good description of events so that I dont have to repost too much. My logic and rational thinking lead me to believe I do not have HIV but my anxiety is getting the best of me. I am going to get tested at the 6 week mark (9 days from now) and I am trying to reduce my fears and anxiety any way possible so any help or advice or input will be greatly appreciated.

Happy New Year

I have been a nurse for seven years and it sounds like a common virus. You can never relay on symptoms for hiv as some have all some has zero. Your gf negative test is a good indication. As most people dont lie about there satus, givin the fact that you and her discussed this prior. Stress and anxiety will only increase diarrhea and fatigue. You should be honest with her about your fear of hiv and then get tested together so both know where you stand. Your symptoms do not sound like ars. You can check out my post titled everyone please read. If you still fear this, you can be tested between four and six weeks as 95% will be positive by then. Three months 100%.  You can be sure to be negative.

One question I forgot to ask is if menstration increases the chance of infection?
