I would like some info. I came down with an itchy/sore throat at 11 days of a risk I had. Next day I had several re/brown spots on my chest. Most were on the left side but had some on the right. About 8 days later th sore throat really bothered me one morning. It hurt to swallow. I cleared some mucus/phlegm and it got a bit better. it went back to being a slight itchy/sore throat the next day. I felt like some mucus kept going from my nose to my throat. I even saw it back there a couple of times. Every morning for about two weeks my throat would be sore but it would get better throughout the day. Then repeat in the morning. Never hurt to eat or drink. Only in the mornings would it hurt to swallow. I had to swallow a lot. To clear my throat. I had no cough, no runny nose, my nose was a bit congested in several mornings but no mucus coming down from it. It would only feel like I had to clear it through my throat. I had a swollen lymph node through this on the left side of my neck. Nowhere else on my body. Some slight headaches and fatigue. I was very anxious because of the whole sore throat and phlegm thing going on. Never had a fever I think. 37.2c was the high I recorded. Does this sound exactly like ars or what?
Tell us what the exposure was. Why is this so hard for you to do? This is a risk assestment forum not speculation on symptoms.
It is possible that those symptoms could be ars but symptoms of ars are general flu like symptoms so could be millions of things. A prolonged sore throat can be caused by various viral infections. i have had loads of possible symptoms but am really only bothered by lymph node swelling (i have had it on various parts of my body and still persisting on my neck) as it indicated the presesnce of infection. however on the plus side you say you can only find it on your neck ars lymph node swelling with early Hiv is usually widespread throughout the body.
