To all: I just reveived my test results. Elisa 4th generation for hiv 1 and 2 and p-24 and they came back negative, test was made after 20 days of episode. The personnel from the lab said that this is almost certain to be conclusive of no infection but I should get tested again at 45 days and then 3 months. Any thoughts? And HUGE THANKS for your patience and responses. You are wonderful.
Thank Urgent123. I really appreciate your response. The outbreak cleared out after a shower so not even sure if it was what I thought. I expect to receive my results today so I will keep you posted. Thanks again.
You already stated that you have had herpes outbreaks before, i suggest you don't link this incident and your outbreak. most people on this forum including me, have been through this anxiety before, diagnosing ourselves, and i can say most of us have come out if this as negative! Alot of people who have HIV don't experience any symptoms at all, and only realize it when they get tested as part of some other screening.
As we all have already stated, you had no risk! there is no need for you to be worried at all! You are taking the test for your own peace of mind, and i am sure you will be negative. Do keep us posted with your results. And stop worrying!!!
Thanks again. Now I am even more concerned. I have what looks like herpes in my penis and lip (I already had experienced these outbreaks in the past). I dont know what to think about this. Any comments are much appreciated.
You would have definitely noticed the condom break, they split right down the middle. If you weren't sure just by looking at it if it was broken or not that means it wasn't.
Trust me a broken condom looks completely shredded, they are designed to leave you in no doubt when they fail. It's impossible that just the tip broke as you fear.
You're suffering from a bit of OCD which is understandable but focus your thoughts on something else or the anxiety is going to start playing havoc with your immune system and body in general.
You'll be very surprised how anxiety can quickly destroy your health and from there it's a downward spiral of believing that you have seroconversion symptoms when it's really brought on by anxiety.
Move on with your life
I understand, Vance. My apologies. I am trying my best but this situation has been very difficult on me. Thanks for your continued support.
Then seek a therapist. You have been answered several times.
Please HELP!!!!! My anxiety is driving me insane!
To Anxietysuck: thank you, I necer took the time to thank you directly. I'm a nervous wreck waiting for results now. I very much appreciate your past responses and anything further you may want to tell me.
Thank you Urgent123 and all the members for your answers. I went to get tested today with a 4th generation Elisa at 20 days after the incident. I am a nervous wreck (I have to wait 36 hours for the results). Your support is extremely appreciated. God bless you.
Thank you all for your answers, help and patience. I would like to ask you a question: I have been extremely worried for the last days and yesterday, at the exact 2 week mark, I felt a mild itchy rash in my chest that went away and then after a few hours a slight sore throat with an itchy small rash on my face (on the cheek) which went away after 30 mins. I also had a small headeache. I got very stressed about this and then I started to have serious dizziness and could barely eat. After a few hours I managed to go home from work and the dizziness calmed down, although it came back after I gor concerned again and then I started to experience hot flashes. Today I have itchiness in my neck (bad shaving) and some itching in my leg. Do you think this may be a sign of ARS or that this is being caused by stress? Thank you again.
and btw if the condom did break you would've felt it and when you pulled out you will barley see no condom and she wouldve told you if it rlly did break
good luck and enjoy you life :)
vance have the most knowledge in this forum and he answered thousands of questions
if he say you had no risk that mean you no risk, period.
Does anyone please have any thougts? I am going crazy on this. I am extremely worried. Thank you in advance.
Do you have any thoughts on the last question? I am worried sick. Thanks a million!
Thank you for your answer Vance. Do you think based on what I'm saying that the condom did not break? How do you estimate that I had no risk? I was very tight and the condom was not an extra strength condom so I am quite concerned about breakage since I haven't seen a broken condom in my life. Thanks again for your answer.
Thank you very much for your reply. I am not very experienced so I am concerned about the part when she was able to go in deeper and I felt she touched a part inside my rectum that made me want to go to the bathroom to which she said that she had reached fecal matter and she pulled out. As I mentioned, I saw her remove the condom with no clear apparent signs of breakage and fecal matter on the tip but I couldn't do a good check of the integrity of the condom. I am not sure how she could have said or noticed reaching fecal matter if she was wearing a condom that was intact, I have no idea as to whether you can have that kind of sensitivity with a condom. I also haven't seen a broken condom in my life so I'm not sure as to how the condom would have looked had it broke. I thank you in advance for any input on these questions.
As long as you used a condom you should be safe. With regards to this incident. But if you are sexually active it is a good idea to get tested every 3-6 months. But with this encounter expect a negative result. And if statistics are a factor highest rates of hiv are still among MSM. I still see transexual/ shemales as MSM because they still have a penis. Anyway next time try to avoid this events to avoid the stress. Take care
The CSW probably knew she reached fecal matter because you can still feel something pushing against your penis even if you have a condom on. & it is natural for people to shower after sex. You don't even have any risk so, i would fully expect you to test negative.
