Saliva doesn't transmit HIV. In fact, saliva kills the virus. That's why oral contact is usually no risk: no HIV transmission by kissing or by contact with saliva.
As previously said, no risk
what if there are small cuts in my eyes? the virus can get into my blood, right?
Still in saliva? No. There was one case a while ago where a lab tech got a hiv+ sample (a serum. Not blood or saliva) and did get it. Saliva will kill it and it was in the air or a while.
You are fine.
A more recent study found that infectious HIV can be detected at high levels in saliva during the early weeks of HIV infection (the ‘window’ period before antibodies appear),
however the virus decreses very fast once the antibodies starts to apper..
Even "high levels in saliva during the early weeks" may not matter. The important fact is that nobody has ever been reported conclusively to have acquired HIV by any kind of contact with saliva. If it happens, it is rare enough to ignore.
