Scared of having Hiv

I’m a female . I had unprotected vagina sex with a male last Thursday . He said that he’s clean , no a IV drug user and never had sex with male. After we had sex , I found out that I have a tiny cut on the opening of my vagina . I went to planned parenthood the next day and I told the doctor what happened and I’m worry about Hiv . I even asked her do I need to get PEP .she said that it’s low risk activity as he’s not gay and never use drugs . However , I don’t know how much I should trust that guy and I’m super anxious right now . What do you guys think !

Too late . It happened more than 72 hours plus my doctor didn’t recommend PEP
If u r connected with this guy, ask hin to do HIV test to rest your mind.
If not go for HIV RNA PCR Test after 2 weeks, If negative then rest assured you are negative.
Or get HIV fourth generation test (Also called Duo, Combo or CMIA) at 4 weeks if negative, you are fine.
While waiting for proper time to do the test, sleep enough, eat well, hang out with your freinds every day to escape from anixiety. If possible go to gym.
I send you a good Karma to remian begative for the rest of your life.
A recommendation to take PEP for this event is a bit out of touch with risk analysis and am glad that your doctor is responsible.  PEP is reserved for things that are of much greater risk than 1 percent as yours was.  You will surely test negative as it is unlikely this one time exposure will lead to HIV.  Always remember that PEP is very hard to take and the decision to do so should be weighed very heavily with the downside.  That includes being able to tolerate the stuff as it is quite toxic overall.  This is why a responsible doctor would not give it for a single truly low risk exposure.

So, you had a risk but low as has been said.  Really low.  Testing is something you should do but I would not go the route of PEP if I were you.  And going to the ER to get it is unnecessary. If a doctor has already said it is not necessary, go with that rather than putting yourself needlessly through the discomfort of PEP (hard rug to take).  Testing needs to happen only one time, at 4 weeks (28 days or more) with a 4th generation Duo test.  If you can get that test and it's negative at 28 plus days, you're good.  And as anxiousnomore says you can always also ask the guy if he has recently tested or to test.  But overall, you have a short time to wait for your answer and I'd bet my pinky finger you are completely negative.

You only need one test at 4 weeks to be conclusive. It is purposeless to test multiple times for HIV.
Thank you so much. I am trying to tell myself to relax
Can you get him to test?
I lost his number so I’m not able to contact him :(

The chance of getting HIV in receptive vaginal sex is 8 out of 10,000 statistically speaking. So the risk is there... but not very high, as they told you at planned parenthood. If the exposure was yesterday, perhaps you can try again at an emergency room of a hospital to get PEP. but i don't think they'll recommended either, unless you were certain of an HIV+ status. or if he were from a high risk population (MSM).

Anyway.. you should get tested with a 4th GEN duo test (p24 and antibodies), at 4,6, and finally 12 weeks (for reassurance). If you came sick between this time.. don't stress about it.. HIV cannot be diagnosed through symptoms. so anything you can gooogle about will seem like ARS.. and you might get paranoid.. so dont bother. just endure and wait until de 4th week, when you will have a test with 95% accuracy. i really wish you the best of luck... and always remember.. to be safe before sex.
