What is the different between an ICMA hiv test and a CMIA hiv test? I know that CMIA is 4th generation. ICMA stands for immunochemiluminometric assay.

Oh so it's the same test basically? So a duo antigen and antibody test? I tested negative with the icma test at 12 weeks so I would be negative right?

They are essentially the same test........they just use different detection techniques. ICMA uses light to detect antibodies and antigens......which is why it's called immunochemiLUMINOMETRIC assay.
