The window period is the amount of time that has passed since your last possible exposure. If that time period is at or beyond 12 weeks, then your test is considered conclusive.

It depends on the test. If an antibody only test, then a very good indicator of status which is usually followed up with a confirmatory test at 12 weeks. However if was a DUO or combo test which also tests for the presence of the P24 antigen, then a negative result at 8 weeks would be final. If you see "ab/ag" on your test, then it was this kind of test, and you would NOT need to retest.
