Worried. HIV in water?

I am in desperate need of an answer from a professional or tips. This weekend went to the beach. As we were all in the water I noticed a bloody tampon in the water next to us. I had two small children in the water with us so we of course moved away. I am kind of edgy on if I should be worried about this. Could there be anyway they could be infected if this person was HIV positive?
Please help!

Try posting in the anxiety forum, you can get a lot of good advice over there.

Yes I do have anxiety. I figured it was unlikely but I can't really switch my anxiety off.

So you were at a lake, pond or ocean...all which are vast. And one little tampon from all that water has you worried?

I would suggest a therapist as I would guess that you have other worries that are really unreasonable. Probably some forum of anxiety (which I have myself).

No it is not a risk even if a woman threw a tampon and it went into your mouth.
