You'll be fine and you're very welcome for whatever help I may have given you. We aim to please! LOL
Have a great (and safe) summer!

Will do! Thanks for all the help today.
I doubt it's an STD symptom, but I'm not a doctor. Please try not to let it create anxiety. You're being tested next month..........they'll find it in time IF it is an STD, which I doubt.
Probably just a groin pull. Think positive!

I will definitely update! June 3rd will be the 12 week mark so I will be tested again around that time. The pain in my right lower abdomen/ upper groin seems slight but persistent. Can't find much on that being a symptom of a certain std though.
If you look long and hard enough, you WILL find contradictory guidelines for everything.
If you are going to be checked for EVERYTHING at the 3 month mark, you will receive 100% conclusive results for EVERYTHING.
You may have seen different time frames for herpes and hepatitis because there are various types............
Oral and genital herpes can both be tested for between 4-6 weeks.
HEP A at 2-7 weeks
HEP B at 6 weeks
HEP C at 8-9 weeks
Hope you let us know how you're doing!

Thanks so much for your responses. I'll be checked for everything at the 3 month mark just to be sure. I saw some different time frames for Herpes and Hepatitis so wasn't sure if the tests for those two specifically would be valid at 6 weeks.
All of your STD tests are reliable and were done at appropriate times. Unless there are further tests your Urologist plans on doing down the road, I don't understand why he would say he was "pretty certain" you are free of STD's. If all these tests were negative, in my humble opinion, you do not have any STD's. The cipro he put you on for the UTI (urinary tract infection) is a very powerful antibiotic definitely took care of that problem. Has he recommended a follow up appointment to check for any remaining bacteria?
I think I would call his office and ask if you need to be rechecked simply for peace of mind.
If you have the 12 week confirmatory HIV test, which I'm sure will be negative, then you can put this behind you.
ALWAYS USE A CONDOM

And I did tell the Urologist that I had unprotected sex and he told me while it was risky, if I tested negative at those time frames and don't have any sores present that I can breathe a sigh of relief that he's pretty certain I dont have an STD.
Thanks for your response, I really appreciate it! I deleted some of my full post because it was an HIV forum but in total my message was: At 6 weeks post exposure I got tested for HIV, Syphillis, HSV 1/2, Hepatitis B and C. Three weeks post exposure I was tested for Chlamydia and Gonnorhea. All tests came back negative. The tests administered are below. My question is how accurate are these tests at those time frames? The only symptoms I have had are my penis head seems slightly red, and I'm getting a lot of dribble after I urinate or atleast more than I usually would. Also very very mild discomfort on the right side of my upper groin/lower abdomen area. I should also mention that a week following exposure I went to the doctor and they found a small amount of bacteria in my urine and put me on ciprofloxacin for 10 days. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated as I'm pretty anxious and worried. Thanks.
HIV 1/2 antigen/antibody 4th generation with reflexes
HSV 1/2 IGG Herpselect AB
HB S AG with reflex conf
RPR with Titer and Conf RFX-RPR screen
Hepatitis C antibody with reflex to HCV, RNA, Quant,RT-PCR
Chlamydia Trachomatis RNA, TMA
Neisseria Gonorrhea RNA, TMA
The 4th generation test you had at 6 weeks post exposure, which came back negative, is an EXCELLENT indication of your status. A confirmatory test at 12 weeks, which is recommended by MANY HIV specialists as well as the WHO, (World Health Organization) the NIH, (The National Institute of Health) and the CDC will give you 100% conclusive results. There is VERY little likelihood your results will change.
While oral sex is NOT a risk for HIV, it IS a risk for other STD's and I'd recommend you have a full STD panel done. You've already seen your doctor for some genital and groin issues and were put on an antibiotic. Did you happen to mention to the doctor that you'd had unprotected vaginal and oral sex?
I wish you the very best outcome

Anyone have any information?
