Can I surely HIV negative irrespective of the rapids?
DO I need western blot to confirm unequal results of rapid and ELISA?>
We have no clue what will happen in 2 weeks or 2 years if you continue to test. But we know you have a confirmned negative test.
If so, can I neglect the answers of rapid tests?
Will they be forever weak positive with me in my life?
u said all positives should be confirmed. why?
i mean like this.
at first i made rapid whole blood test myself at home such as determine HIV 1/2 and other brands. these results were weak positives. so i m so worried and start my first lab ECLIA test at 6.5 weeks after exposure n fortunately it came back negative. so i was happy and retested again with rapid test devices and the results again showed weak positives. so at 10.5 week i ran another ECLIa and it was negative. meanwhile i too rapid blood tests n still weak positive. and then at 12 week i made third ECLIA and it was again negative. so, i m so complex and dont know which i should believe and which i should do now
You never said you had a negative at 12 weeks post--exposure--Move on--you don't have HIV.
Why would you take a rapid test when you had a conclusive negitive test to begin with and who would give you a rapid test after your conclusive test?
please answer me. i m under difficult situation.
ok. i will explain. my exposure is last 12 weeks ago. i made ECLIA tests at 6,10.5 and 12 weeks post exposure. all three were negative . but i also made rapid tests for uncountable times, till 12 weeks, the results were weak positive. what should i do now?
We are not going to entertain any of your "what if"questions. You were already given the proper information.
ok i will ask.
at 3 month mark. ECLIA negative and rapid weak positive.what if?
Obtain your conclusive test result 3 months post exposure.
oh. so complex. different answers. i Did not get only one positive rapid test. whenever i tested with rapid, it showed always weak positive. this condition remains the same for about 6 weeks. but when i make lab ECLIA at 7 week , it was negative. if rapid r real positives, i think the ECLIA should also be positive. Am I correct?
ALL POSITIVE TEST RESULTS HAVE TO BE CONFIRMED ON EXCEPTIONS.
if ECLIA Test is negative at the end of window period but rapid still weak positive, is it necessary to confirm ?
it appears you had a false positive
Just take the ECLIA-- a blood test not a rapid test--enough now please.
All positive tests have to be confirmed.
if i take two tests at 12 week mark. one rapid and one ECLIA and if rapid become positive and ECLIA become negative, how to take the result?
Look, you need to take one final test at 3 months and then collect your results,it's that simple.
1. How long can weak positive results last for?
2. Do they indicate small amount/level of antibodies when they can detect but ECLIA cannot at the same time?
3. Can those weak positive persist for the whole life?
if so, how accurate is 7 week ECLIA negative among weak positive rapid test results?
Don't worry about the weak positive rapid test, the main thing is that your ELICA is negative at 7 weeks--focus on that.
