Stepped on a syringe

I was walking on a very popular spot in Toronto, Nathan Phillips Square, when I stepped on Hypodermic Syringe, straight on the walk way around 10 pm at night. It couldnt have been old because it was in plain sight and would most definitely have been removed had it been there for a few hours. Naturally I'm very concerned about my HIV acquisition risk, 10 days later I had a break out of acne like flat bumps on my chest (disappeared after a day) and a mild sore throat. What is my HIV risk?

NO chance of infection that way.  The blood would have to be in the syringe, puncture your foot, and have the syringe inject you with the blood.  If that happened, you wouldn't be talking about this casually.  You would have had to go to the emergency department to have the needle removed from your foot.

Does the injury really have to be that drastic. I have become quite sick, severe coughing, blocked nose, headache, lost voice around 2/3 weeks after this incident. I just started seeing a girl I really like, do you think it would be irresponsible to not get a conclusive test because the risk is low? I can't imagine putting her at risk of HIV. I had a negative duo test 2 weeks past this exposure (around 4 days before I started getting symptoms), how many infections would this catch.
you have been answered twice. you do not have HIV. how many infections would an HIV test catch? welll, only HIV of course, which you're not at risk for. It would also not be conclusive until 28 days. My coworker has the same symptoms as you,  but that does not mean he has HIV, it's just a cold. You may or mau not have one too. i only say that because  many people have symptoms of stuff all the time, and it's not because of HIV.

Zero since you didn't share it to inject with, otherwise you would have felt strong pain. You just pricked yourself which is zero risk because it is dead in air.
