Find a doctor that know how HIV is and is not transmitted, anyone that would give you nPEP for that is a quack.
I just came from the hospital not i'm negative before with the test I was given but the doctor gave me two medications truvada and another pill its till in the bad and said because I wiped my eye there is a possible transmission and I need to protect myself even from an unknown blood source. even though i'm pretty sure in the following month my test will be negative.
It doesn't matter. The blood came in contact with you after being exposed to the elements. Hence, no risk of infection.
first I would like to say thank you. I don't mean to be dumb about this but I don't know a lot about this. I heard if the blood is dry I loses its ability to infect but this blood clearly was wet and got on me and dried on my hand. are you saying wet blood is unable to infect some one outside of the body as well.
You never had an exposure. HIV is unable to reproduce outside its living host (unlike many bacteria or fungi, which may do so under suitable conditions), except under laboratory conditions; therefore, it does not spread or maintain infectiousness outside its host.
HIV is transmitted by;
Unprotected penetrative anal and/or vaginal sex
Sharing works with other IV drug users
Mother to child
