happyness

Hi everybody
I'd just like to witness my happyness, not desrespecting anyone who is fighting against this virus, 'cause today I received my negative hiv test.
I want also to thank all of you that gave me support and answers to my boring questions, when I needed that support.

I have a request:
I've been poking myself all the time, and I cannot admit symptoms are COMPLETELY meaningless...
I mean:If they were really meaningless it would be a complete non sense to call them.
So I really think it would be useful to give to anybody a strict list, answering following questions(obviously my questions can be changed or corrected to obtain a full helpy list).

for example, assuming seroconversion WITH symptoms:
1)Is fever always present?and how mild is it?
2)How large are normally enlarged lymphos?
3)How is it the rush?I mean red red red, or something difficult to find?

Every question could be useful to people like me who have wasted their time in search of any little sign from the body.
Of course, now I can really say that, TESTING is the only way to know

I appreciated any thought about all this

Thank you

Ok, so you're saying that a list is completely useless.
My question comes from viewing some photos of infected people.
I know this photo were choosen to be clear, but they showed lympho enlarged as a lemon,or very hard rush, so I thought some kind of symptoms could be useful.
I understand this kind of thought can help the "self diagnosis" line, and it could be wrong, but I also think a list could give a releif to people who are experiencing some symptoms.
I obviously respect all of you and I thank you all.

Less than 1% of peiople who see the doc for ARS symptoms actually turn out to be infected.

Once again symptoms are pointless when it comes to HIV.

Seroconversion doesnt carry symptoms, ARS carries symptoms

1. No, about 101 when present (you can have this kind of fever with a variety of infections), so even if you had this, it wouldnt matter

2.  different for everyone

3. Thrush is not a sign of ARS it develops in some HIV patients in later stages

HIV is a rare disease and even if exposed to one encounter does not guarantee you are going to catch it. None of these questions are useful, sorry not trying to be an *** it just adds to the self diagnosis issue.  If you have unprotected sex or share needles or some how come into contact with a contaminated needle, you should test, end of story.  Symptoms mean nothing and this is why, you can have un protected sex with someone who has just been getting over a cold or has some foreign bacteria and end up sick, 2 weeks after your encounter, your lymphs may swell, you may have sore throat, fever, vomitting, malaise, ect. and it may just be some garden virus.
I know that after a condom breakage you do get scared, everyone does and want reassurance from people.  There is no way to diagnose this disease or any disease online, the only thing anyone can do is evaluate your risks, therefore, if you had an unprotected encounter or shared needles, test, its that simple.

The symptoms are meningless since only 50% - 60% of infected people had them, of them 96% had fever. is not easy to know if a lymph node is enlarged or not, and finally the rash discribed by some hiv infected people was diferent some got a rash like varicella(chken pox) and some like rubeolla, so the better thing to help people worried is to tell them that symptoms are useless in the assestment of and infection.

Congratulations on your results
