hiv symptoms

I am 48 years old, I have year round allergies and my symptoms includes congested nose almost 24hrs a day, I take Claritin-D and my symptoms gets worse especially in  spring...my mother also have sever skin allergies and asthma as long as I can remember.

3 years ago I got bad chest infection in spring including asthma and I was given antibiotics for almost a month alongwith 2 types if inhalers one ventolin other as a steroid...while I was sick and had asthma attack with coughing, shortness of breath...I over-used the steroid inhaler (several times a day) while taking the antibiotics, I end up getting oral thrush, my doctor also suspected for mono symptoms because I also had bad throat infection...these were the only symptoms I had at that time....I also had un-protected sex earlier same year almost 6 month prior to getting sick (before that I never had any other sexual contact with any other woman, other than with my wife who is totally clean and never had any sexual encounter other than me...anyway I eventually got better and remained healthy. But next year in spring I had mild asthma attack and got better..this year earlier I moved to Washington state (before I was in CA) and could not take the cold weather...and got asthma attack (almost since may/09), my symptoms includes asthma, shortness of breath..and high palpitation especially at night, my heart rate goes upto 100-110 average at nite...during the day my heart rate is fast but between 80-90

I am taking advare disk/inhaler since 2-3 weeks and singulair for one week, my asthma is controlled  but still at night I got more coughing...usually when I speak to someone...and my heart rate goes upto 100-105...doctor also took EKG and told I have some changes in EKG showing some Ischemia....I am also experiencing this shortness of breath with dry cough..

I am extremely worried that I may be infected with HIV..but the only thing I cant comprehend that the symptoms I have now its usually in a advance stage HIV infection usually after 10 from first exposure to hiv, whereas I had my only un-protected sex 3 years ago other than my wife...I have no other symptoms other than shortness of breath and coughing...no skin rash or arms/lymph node swollen..etc my weight is pretty consistent....
But I am extremely worried that I may have advanced HIv infection....please give me your opinion...I am afraid to go to doctor for hiv testing...this is something I can't take it if I find out if I have hiv disease...
pls help

Thanks

I had a mutual masturbation with this woman. I came in contact with her saliva and she insert her finger in my rectum, now 21 days later I havent had a fever or flu like symptoms. But I had a small itchy, red rash that when I scratched it, the rash went away. I also been having soarness in my groin, I dont know if it is a result because Iv been rubbing that area. And muscle tightness in my left side of neck that comes and goes usually when I put pressure on the left side, it will tighten up. Is this possibly symptoms? Thanks in advance for your help.

Yes, get tested. That is the only way to know your status. Your medical history (asthma, etc.) is completely irrelevant and was not needed.

Take an HIV test and it will be conclusive.
