HIV transmission via oral sex?

I think I accidentally exposed myself to contracting an STD, particularly HIV. I hung out with a girl who I've known for a few months now a few days back. She engaged in oral sex on me. Everything went as planned, but while it was occurring I remembered something she had told me earlier that day at dinner: she had been to the dentist, had two fillings, had bit her tongue, and it had bled for most of the afternoon. I didn't see any blood on or around myself, but I am really concerned now that I let that happen. Between the fillings and the biting of her tongue, I'm willing to bet she still had some blood in her mouth, and I know this is a very easy way to transmit something like HIV.   I also made out with her, but I don't think I have any open cuts in my mouth, so I'm not too worried about that type of transmission.  Afterwards, I asked her if she has been tested recently, she hesitated a bit, and then said yes. Am I worrying too much or should this suggest a test at the three month mark?

Doesn't matter if she bit her tongue. Ifit was that bad she wouldn't have given you oral sex. Either way you never had an exposure.

OK.... So you're saying blood in the open air is fine, but blood in saliva is not transmittable?

She very likely had blood in her mouth, as she had been bleeding all day from a bitten tongue.

No, saliva contains over a dozen different enzymes and proteins that inhibits HIV transmission.

But can't it be transmitted if there is active blood in the mouth?

HIV is not transmitted by oral sex. You never had an exposure.
