you really need to take this one over to Hook or Hunter on the expert forum. they are the only ones you should trust with this kind of question. They will know.
your test is NEGATIVE...PERIOD. it doesnt matter if the number increased or decreased...and this is normal for ppl who test repeatedly. as long as you are within the normal "range"...you are good to go :)
YOU DO NOT HAVE HIV.
What could have cause the increase? Does ELISA detects for specific HIV antibodies or are there any antibodies and antigens that they can detect? The Med tech was really wondering what could have caused this and recommended me to get the test again after 3 months. There goes the 6-month window period. I'm really scared to death and I don't know what to expect.
The Med Tech was wrong. As long as it was below the cutoff, the actual absorbance number means absolutely nothing.
It is a binary test- you are either positive or negative (NON-REACTIVE). There are no gradations within the negative category (e.g. you are not 'weakly' negative).
what do you mean that I am not weakly negative? Does it means there is still a possibility that I have IT? That it could show up differently on my next test? I thought ELISA at 3 months is conclusive. I am not under chemotherapy, not immunosuppressed either. (Whatever they mean about immunosuppression. But I am sickly though. Weak immune system). I just can't understand why my absorbance value increased abruptly. By the way sorry for the other post. I thought I was posting it at the experts' forum.
omg...it was an example ! ! !
you are negative...NOW MOVE ALONG. this post in over.
