HIV Risk?

Hi Everyone,

So I had unprotected sex with a partner who alerted me he was HIV positive a month after our last sexual encounter. As soon as he told me I was tested and was negative. About 4 months later, last week actually, some fairly large pimples appeared on my body and they popped and healed on their own. They left little scabs behind. I also had diarrhea for about two weeks but it's gone away. Otherwise I feel fine. Based on this info what are the chances that I am actually positive? I'm kind of freaking out here and I'm so scared to take a second test but I know I should :(

Thanks :)

Okay, thank you for your prompt reply. I'll just go get the second test this week to be sure. Condoms from here on out...

It's decent indication, but 3 months and beyond is conclusive.
Symptoms have nothing to do with HIV.

A negative result one month after isn't a good enough indicator?

Now I'm fearing the worst :(

Only a test will tell you. 3 months post exposure is when you can obtain a negative test. Looks like if you test now you will have your answer.

USE CONDOMS!
