I had vaginal sex with a street walking prostitute. She was also an intravenous drug user. I did wear a condom during the two minute duration of vaginal sex, but the condom was hers and not mine. Therefore I have no way of truly knowing the reliability of the condom. I was tested after three months of the exposure and got a negative result. But the people at the clinic recommended that I should be tested again at sixth months. I feel that this was a stupid and high risk mistake. I have felt increasingly sick since this exposure and have been worried. Also, I did ejaculate inside her vagina (with the condom on) which makes me think I am at more risk. Why does the clinic strongly recommend testing again at sixth months, when the consensus on this forum seems to be three months?
