Abbott ARCHITECT HIV Ag/Ab Combo

FDA Approval
Indication for Use: As an aid in the diagnosis of HIV-1/HIV-2 infection, including acute or primary HIV-1 infection
Approval Date: 6/18/2010

• A test result that is nonreactive does not exclude the possibility of exposure to or infection with HIV-1 and/or HIV-2. Nonreactive results in this assay for individuals with prior exposure to HIV-1 and/or HIV-2 may be due to antigen and antibody levels that are below the limit of detection of this assay.

It's for earlier detection (five days) than your other antibody tests.

So this is a new test that is more precise and can supposedly find out earlier but it is still not conclusive for 3 months?

Just means a conclusive negative test is still 3 months post exposure like all all other tests.

What that mean? Does it mean that those tests are unreliable?
