lancet biohazard box may have been touched risk assessment

I am brand new to this forum, but i need help,  i got tested today my three month it was negative.  it was an oraquik test and they only do oraquik testing with retractable lancets. my son was walking around the room and i am concerned he may have put his hand in the box of used lancets and old tests. what is the risk. i do not know if he put his hand in it but just in case. please help.

What were you doing not watching your son around a sharps container?

I dont know the difference between the biohazard container, but my sons hand is little and the container had a hole his hand could fit in, but it had plastic teeth. so i am not sure what kind of container it is and what exactly a sharps container is. I am asking for help, but i am not sure if it was a sharps container or what. it was onthe floor

no do you read? and retractable lancets can only be used once.

please dont tell me that you think the lab reused a lancet on you...and you're blaming this fear on your child getting stuck.

If it's a sharps container you can't get your hand in the top.

what kind of sharps container are you referring to because they are not all the same. do you know the king i am referring to

it is one it had a circle on the top almost as big as his arm and like plastic things around the opening.  And connected was a lid almost like a plastic thing ahnging from around the hole. yes he could have gotten his arm in it.

You can not get your hand down in a sharps container.
