Out of the Closet - Testing Location

Has anybody ever been to an Out of the Closet store for an HIV test? It seems a little strange to me to be tested in a thrift shop. Is this location safe and reliable?

You can obtain your conclusive negative test result 3 months post exposure.

Yes. I know it's under the three month window, but the Drs seem to say based on my low risk I should feel comfortable with those results. But still not confident.

Did you read the instructions on the Oraquick test before you used it?

It's a chain of thrift stores that use the name as a pun. They are listed as a testing location on the CDC website.

I had unprotected heterosexual sex 8 weeks ago with a girl I randomly met at a bar while out of town on business. 4 1/2 weeks after I had three days of a fever, up to 101.7 and flu like symptoms. This was followed by a lot of mucus and congestions, so I think it was probably not ARS, but I'm very paranoid. I did a 6 week Oraquick Oral home test which was negative but feel I may need further testing.

No, never heard of them. I would assume by the name it meant "gay" not a thrift store when associated with  HIV testing.
Do you have a risk?
