worries of HIV infection

In February, I was in a relationship with a guy and we became sexual active. Always protected vaginal sex. One night we tried anal sex, he was very genital and i asked him to stop because i was very uncomfortable. He didn't cum, but when he stopped and pulled out the condom came off as well.. he then applied a new condom and we continued to have vaginal sex. we had sex about 5 times and all times we were protected, yet I am having fears that i may have contracted HIV. Him and I have conversations about getting tested and he always says that when he gets time then he will. He reassures me that he is in good statues. Him and i are no longer together, which concerns me even more. Please  HELP, I'm always concerned and its all i think about, I'm afraid to go and get tested, please help,

What does asking him to test have to do with you not having a risk?
