Im 29, 240 lbs, 6ft tall, so about 40 lbs overweight for my height. Ive had a few issues over the last few months with my health, been in for suspected Pulmonary embolysm, been in and out of er with heart attack like symptoms. Been to the drs with such symptoms. They said they cant find anything wrong with me. Anyway, Ive been sedate for the last 6 months and realising my health issues & weight / clothes not fitting any more i decided to get active again. I went to do some weights that I used to do about 8 months ago, 9 kg on a dumb bell doing 12 controlled reps. I found that i could the weight ok, the muscle works fine, but after doing 2 x 12 on each arm I felt very faint. Is this because im unfit or is there an underlying cause? Im worried about going to the dr's again as they told me to go away for a few months after my last visit (heart worrys) and only go back if symptoms persist. I feel that ill get fobbed off again if i did go anyway.
Is it possible to get so unfit that doing weights that ive not done in around 8 months can make me feel very faint?
I also find that since my health worrys that when i eat sometimes i feel short of breath or feel faint after eating..
Ive started swimming and can only manage 100 metres without stopping for a few minutes...
Your input greatfully recieved.
