does this sound like angina???

hi there, hope someone can help as i feel like i'm going crazy!!!  I'm a 43 yrs old female.
To cut a long story short symptoms started 2 years ago now, woke up with pinching sqeezing feeling in chest with pain spreading to jaw, neck, lasted about 2 mins, ecg normal, chest xray normal, bloods normal. Last ecg 3 days ago which was normal, i asked the cardiologist could i have angina he says nothing wrong with my heart, its all down to stress & anxiety!!!!  Last night again woken up with centre chest pain, spreading to jaw , neck lasted for about 2 mins, sometimes it can be left chest, & then right sided. These episodes can happen 0nce every 2 weeks then dissapear for months then just come back. Mostly happen when i'm sleeping which then the pain wakes me up. I also get palpitations and for the last few months i have been having episodes of dizziness. Anyone else have this, any help would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks...

I was recently diagnosed with variant angina.  But, in April, I was found to have coronary artery spasms.  This is treated, in my case, with a calcium channel blocker. It took some trial and error to find the drug that worked best for me. And it took time to start working effectively.  Variant angina does wake me up out of a dead sleep.  I keep nitro close by at all times.  Take care, Ally

You could have variant angina. Have you discussed the probability of this medical condition with your doctor.  I have provided a link for your evaluation that may be of help.  Thanks for sharing, and take care.
