Can echo results change in a week?

I'm trying to educate myself as much as possible before my appointment.

Does anyone know whether echocardiogram results can change from normal to abnormal within one week?  My symptoms have changed as well as one lab test that could indicate an infection.

Need to know if I should push for another new one or a different type.  I believe I had a standard 2-D one - was laying down still, not stress test kind.

Thanks.

Yes my symptoms have changed.  I was originally having episodes of tachy and arrhythmia and now I can't get out of bed without becoming winded.  I have chest pressure and extreme exhaustion (weakness).

Today tried to set off symptoms to show on the event monitor I'm wearing, so took my daughters to get smoothies.  Drove about 4 blocks to small strip mall.  Walked from car to shop and sat while waiting.  On the way out, someone who recognized me stopped me with a concerned look on her face and asked about a car accident I was in several years ago (she thought it was recent).  I thought it was a bit odd until I got home and looked in the mirror and my lips were ice-blue.  I also felt very tired (wanted to fall asleep at the smoothie shop).  Then I remembered how when I weighed myself this morning I noticed that I was up about 4 pounds.

Called the cardiologist.  Nurse moved my appointment to tomorrow morning and advised me to contact my PCP.  PCP was unconcerned.  Had elevated D-Dimer in ER last Friday, but no pulmonary embolism.  ER Doc said might be infection.  D-Dimer done the prior Saturday was normal.  With the sudden change in symptoms last Thursday and increased D-Dimer, thought maybe the echo results might change also?

One other odd thing, when I took a nap this afternoon I kept waking up with a feeling like I was forgetting to breathe.  Never had that feeling before.

Lips are pink again.  Still heavy pressure in chest and bounding (hard) pulse.

Does this sound like anything to anyone?  My PCP (brand new to me as of last Tuesday) thinks it is anxiety, but my stress level went down drastically as of mid-June.  And I've been hanging out in bed all week relaxing and enjoying myself - should be getting better, not worse.

Yes, an echocardiogram can change quickly, but only if there has been an acute incident or something of that nature.  Have you symptoms changed drastically?  Is it something that warrants a trip to the ER?  New onset chest pain?
