Hi, yes they see them on the recording. It records continually, and when I feel the beats are bad I activate a device which makes the monitor keep the recording from the previous 6 minutes and a couple of minutes afterwards. It only keeps 3 lots of recordings, and when I've activated it I have to go to the hospital to have the thing read, which is quite a journey. But it means they can actually see what's bothering me, so it's worth it. The cardio told me a while ago the palps were benign, but that if they still bothered me I could have this implantable thing which can stay in for up to 3 years. I had 5-day monitors before but they never caught the things, so this one is great for me. I would be running all day at the moment to try to get rid of the things, they are being such a nuisance. I'm believing they are harmless - I've read such a lot, and it all says so - but they still feel just horrible! I wish there was a magic pill to get rid of them!
hey, first let me say your fine, I to have thoses aweful beats and the last time I had them has been about 4 weeks I ended up going to ER just to make sure that's all they were and it was PAC, yes I had them ever 4-8 heart beat for over 10 hours and they seem to be right on top of each other it was no fun,
before that I had them for 6 hours and they went away for 3 months than that's when they came back and I went to er. drs say nothing to do, told me when they start to get up and run get my heart beat up faster and it will help them to go away. yes they are very scarey and they make me not want to do anything either to sit in house and see if they going kill me lol but they have not.
so with the inplanted monitor they see them ? and why do you have that is it for the skiped beats ?
I've re-contacted hospital and asked about my results and a very nice lady emailed me, saying that reveal recorder showed occasional ventricular and supra-ventricular ectopics – there is no evidence of VT – the rhythm is not dangerous and does not generally require treatment although medication may be used to reduce symptoms if they are troublesome.
That is a big help. The symptoms are certainly troublesome, and as yet the meds are not helping. Is anyone taking Bisoprolol successfully? I am now on 7.5 mg daily but doesn't seem to be doing much.
