With an EKG output an abnormal reading does not mean anything is wrong.
Digitalis may have various ECG manifestations. Thus, there may be arrhythmic disturbances, conduction block, or a combination of both. ST abnormality can be due to a prior heart attack (myocardial infarction), and/or ischemia (occluded coronary vessels) that reduces the supply of blood to heart cells.
Abnormal axis deviations can be seen in conditions such as hemiblocks (delays electrical impulse due to some blockage) and chamber enlargement indicate left posterior fascicular ....pathways for electrical impulse through the muscle to contract the chamber to pump blood into the system.
Your doctor will evaluate the ECG, other tests, your symptoms, medical history, medication to make a diagnosis.
Hope this gives you some insight regarding the ECG. The ECG is only one test and requires other evidence. Take care, and thanks for sharing. If you have any further questions or comments, you are welcome to respond.
