Im 19 y/o 5’1 154 pounds and About 2 1/2 months ago I was diagnosed with “inappropriate sinus tachycardia” i am currently taking metoprolol half a 25 mg tab once a day (the highest my heart rate went was 170) idk if that has anything to do with anything and they did a couple ekgs, a echo of my heart, and I wore a holter monitor everything was normal.
I was wondering if working out / going on a better diet will help stop the fast heart rate? I use to weigh around 100 pounds when I was 16-17 and now I weigh 154. I used to be active everyday but I haven’t been these last few months. I did have a double mesactomy this last April (for cosmetic reasons) and since then I haven’t been as active and about a month and a half after my surgery is when I noticed the fast heart rate.
If I were to work on my cardio and lose weight and start eating more healthy could there be a chance that the inappropriate sinus tachycardia will go away ?
