LVAD

Where can I go to get a LVAD pump donated to my husband. He is 50yrs old and had his first heart attack at 38.
We are newlyweds and have no medical insurance.  Please if anyone has any ideas of where we can get help, contact me.

If he needs an LVAD, I'm assuming he is out of work.  I believe that LVAD is one of the conditions on the list for Social Security Disability and immediate Medicare, without the two year wait.  I don't know your financial situation, but Medicaid might be a possibility, as well.  Good luck to you.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello and hope you are doing well.

Understand your predicament. You could try writing to pharmaceutical companies, they may sponsor. Alternatively, sometimes participation in clinical trials will engage those personnel to get the pump for you. Your treating physician can also send recommendation letters to pharmaceutical companies. Also, insurance agencies may be able to direct you. If all the above are not helping then ask your doctor for an alternate therapy/medication. Regards.
