I was diagnosed with RBBB since 15 years old. Now the doctor suspected I've Brugada variant. At the treadmill stress test, during recovery time, bundle branch block appeared and my heart stopped. Then the pacemaker kick in, after few beats, it stopped again. It continues like that: pace, beat, stop until the pacemaker totally taking over at 100% paced.
I didnt even hear of the condition at the time. Basically I was told I have a RBBB and that was it. Had numerous ekg`s a echocardiogram, and stress test and even wore a holter monitor and nothing but a RBBB.
Im just curious, the pattern seemed to always be there, considering it always showed up on my tests. A pattern of a incomplete RBBB that is.
Im basically just wondering, could Brugada easily be overlooked, or would it have been picked up by those tests?
I do have some upper body adnormalites, and iv read RBBB can be caused by chest tramua. I do have a fairly indented chest, I forget the term for it. I know that may be way off target but I just thought I should bring that up.
Also, I do remember then saying someone about my sinus node. I have no further information on that, cant really remember what he was talking about but other then I had a healthy heart. I played sports at the time, and the cardioglist said continue to do so.
Im pretty worked up over this. I just dont know if Brugada would of been picked up or not, and im stressing over this too much. Iv slow downed alot lately, this is bothering quite a bit. Its been roughly 3 years or so since I was there, but lately Im worried about this.
Im gonna set up a appointment with him in the near future I guess. Just wondering if this syndrome can be easily overlooked, or would it have been visable considering my IRBBB pattern is always there. Thats all im really worried about right now. Just because RBBB seems related to brugada syndrome.
Sorry for my grammar mistakes, english is not my first language.
A friend of mine has Brugada syndrome and she said it is easy to misdiagnose. if it wasn't for her brother having a heart attack, then they would not be alive today. the doctor who discovered it found it in him he now has a pacemaker as well as she and their mom.
My 4 year old had a RBBB, complete and they say he doesn't have it
