Mothers Symptoms

Hi All
Concerned about my mother whose going in hospital for tests for three days, Dr wanted her to go into night, he's ringing in the morning.
Symptoms are nose bleeds, fell over three times, once in the middle of the road!! Dr took blood pressure and its
very low, and pulse is weak.
Also has been having numbness in hands and Angina symptoms every day and extreme tiredness and her chest is bad.
Has anyone got any thoughts on reasons for these symptoms, I think there might be a blockage and they might do an angiogram.
Thanks
Lorraine

Low cardiac output would/could be the underlying cause. That condition can be the result of the weak pulsation.  A scenario that includes coronary blockage ould be there is insufficient blood going to the area deficit of a good blood supply.  The heart will enlarge to compensate for the lack of blood supply (ischemia), and an enlarged heart will lose contractility and a reduced cardiac output.  Heart valve insufficiency can result in a low CO output as well.

An echocardiogram determine heart size and the ejection fraction (EF).  The EF is the amount of blood pumped into circulation with each heartbeat and normal is 55 to 75%. A cath angiogram can help determine any blockage of the main coronary vessels and provide stents implants to open.   If you have any further questions do not hesitate to post your question.  Take care
