71 1/2 years old, 6 Ft, 188 lbs. I play about 6-8 hours of tennis doubles a week. My associates tell me I get twice the exercise playing than most.
I have had 2 heart attacks, 1987 and 2001. I currently have 2 stents, take blood pressure meds, and consult with my cardio doctor.
My pulse rate scares me a little, frequently as low as 36 per min..
2 days ago had a thallium stress test (10 minutes on the treadmill). I feel fine, with none of the symptoms associated with brachardia.
The point of the foregoing is that a low pulse is not the end of the world if you exercise.
My pulse rate is around 45 - 50 . I am now 64 years old.
My pulse beat beats but misses at random and the final measurement
of the pulse is around 45-50. Sometimes it goes up to 60-62.Is it a problem. I am on Blood Pressue Medicine - coversyl 8m and nifidefine
2 tabs a day.My pressure is normal 120/65. Is it normal or have I to worry about my health.
Thank you.

I would. they say your HR shouldn't go below 40. I had all kinds of test when my was 47 for several hours. because I wasn't a jogger they were very concerned. I didn't ahve any symptoms of anything execpt very tired, also had an ear infection.
they didn't see anything wrong but told me to call them if it goes below 40.
good luck
