Mild Mitral Valve Prolapse

I just had an echo done and the technician told me that I have very mild mitral valve prolapse. She said it was so mild my doctor may not even call about it. I'm going to wait and see what my doctor says about it but in the mean time in very worried about this, and don't know much about MVP. I'm only 20 and within the past half year I've had weird symptoms like fast heart wait while standing, pvcs varying in intensity. Fortunately beta blockers have helped tremendously.

She also said my EF was 70%? Is that too low? And she said nothing else looked wrong. So am I at an increased risk for anything? I'm just trying to ease my mind!

Hi there. Of course you are worried . But its only Mild and will most likely just be reviewed in the future, probably every couple of years. The beta blocker is working with your other issues so thats good too. The EF of 70% is perfect. Normal is between 55% - 70%, so your good with that result. Go back have your review with the doctor and he will re assure you. Best of luck, keep us posted.
