An aorta valve prolapse would not cause a problem unless it is moderate to severe regurgitation. It could be pericarditis...inflammation in the area surrounding the heart but often a sharp pain.. In the early stages of pericarditis, it may be hard to tell whether the pain is from the inflammation or from a possible heart attack. Also, the problem could be inflammation of the cartilage in the chest area....
Whenever, there is unexplained chest pains, one shoud see their doctor to rule out anything serious. Take care.
