vo2 stress test

Hi
I am a 51 yr. male with Myocardiomyothy. I had a t-scan done in early Jan. for pre-testing for ablation scan showed alot of structual damage to the heart and my mitral valve has adhered to the back of my haert so they scrapped the ablation procedure because they said it wouldn`t improve my condition. My EF is 13-15 percent and my vo2 stress test came back with 14. Do you feel that I should be put on a transplant list if I qualify ?

Thanks Duane

Vo2 less than 14 qualifies for transplant.

An EF of 14% is quite low...are you able to function with daily activities...walk up a flight of stairs without resting, etc.?  You may want to get a second opinion whether or not there can improvement.  If so, you may want to wait.  Also, how well you feel is also a consideration.
