What's my chances?

Hey I'm 22 years old I'm currently taking blood pressure medications(losartan 100mg/hctz, spirolactone 25mg) it's decently controlled averaging about 135/75 resting. I have LVH(left ventricular hypertrophy) size of 1.5 ......I  up in sports, I'm in good shape I exercise everyday for 40 mins...I am half African American. I'm wonder what is the probability I can live a normal life with these problems so early on? How rate is it for me to have this, this young? I'm normal weight, don't smoke or drink but my diet isn't the best.

Thanks Jerry for the detailed response, a lot of great points and facts. Makes me feel good to get someone that has faith in my lifestyle. I know I'm young and race does seem to point to different health issues, but not sure if it's my case. I'm just going to continue my 30-45 mins of exercise everyday, my diets not the best with being in college, I'll take my Bp meds, and do everything I can to keep a healthy lifestyle. Hopefully I can be in an advantage doing this. I know no one knows the true day we will pass on but me being young an having these problems I just like to know probabilities or estimates on life span or limitations of years due to this? You have answered my question to the best way you could, thank you. You're a lot older with much more knowledge an experience which Is priceless. Thanks again

Sounds like you are doing everything "right"... life just isn't fair and you shouldn't have this especially at such a young age.  I don't know if race has anything to do with your situation, I know some health problems are more prominent in one race compared to another - I recall this is true for African American - suppose you have looked that up.  There may also be race-specific treatment recommendations/practices... I DO NOT KNOW,, just searching the possibilities.

For sure, keep you BP under control and the numbers you state seem reasonable - but lower is almost always better if we don't have dizziness or there lack of oxygen symptoms.

Now that I didn't answer your question let me try this:  I think your chances are very good if you keep up your healthy life style of living.  What does that mean?  Don't know but I'd guess you should be good for the average in spite of the BP issue.  Average, what is that now 80, I'm an old guy and I have already reached my life--expectancy for my age group.  Obviously as I am still alive, my life expectancy is longer than my current age.  We never know and I didn't worry about that much when I was younger, but admit I was scared a few times when traveling by aircraft  : ( also served in the Navy Air.
