rapid heart rate w/sinus pain/who do I see

For the past few months, my heart has been racing a couple of times a day.  I also seem to have an intolerance to medications.  I have gone to the ER 3 times since July and each time I was diagnosed with dehydration.  I am on a waiting list to see my PCP.  My appt is Dec. 11th.  I have been getting strange pains in my head right above my temples in my sinuses and right after that my heart starts to pound.  I have to stand up and walk around until my heart slows down.  My head pain usually starts around 3:00 p.m. and lasts until I got to bed.  I do take Ambien at night which seems to help because it slows my heart down.  I have a friend who is a chiropractor who said he thinks I have sinus tachycardia.  Should I see my PCP or my ear, nose and throad doctor or do I need to see a cardiologist?   don't drink alcohol or smoke.  I exercise 4-5 times a week.

"diagnosed with dehydration"

was that because they tested your creatinine?  BUN level?

hi, have you been forcing yourself to drink water?

also, if you had a home BP monitor, that might give some clue.

on the other hand, the walking around resulting in relief might mean that blood is pooling in your legs and --> hypotension, which can cause headache. Walking forces blood back up to the heart.

You'd find similar people in the dysautonomia group here, such as those with POTS - which you seem close to but not exactly the same.

Maybe try caffeine, too.

Did you happen to have a bad virus cold before this change took place?
