To make a really long story short, I never noticed these "early beats" before I had the infection. I've been feeling them for about a month now. Frequency is about one every 4-5 beats at their worst. Its been a little over 2 weeks since the antibiotics started curing the infection. All my symptoms have cleared except the pvcs. So I'm a little worried they're permanent, or a precursor to something worse down the road. I was bedridden for many days before I started noticing them, so it could be indigestion related. They hit me bad after big meals and after eating certain foods I think. Also I was kind of overhydrating. My cardio, my general physician, and an oral surgeon have told me the tooth infection isn't the cause for the arrhythmia, so it's gotta be something else. I simply can't accept that its just a coincidence that I'm starting to have them at the same time as an infection. Chest xray showed a healthy heart and lungs and no skeletal issues. Guess I'm just gonna have to wait it out, get more expensive tests done, and just hope they don't become something worse. Blood tests showed normal potassium and sodium by the way. And I generally don't feel anything (regular beats or early beats) most of the time. They hit me when I lay down to sleep, but lying on my left side seems to help reduce or eliminate my noticing them. The last three days I've felt them SLIGHTLY less, but I'm not gonna invest too much hope. They could easily still be there and I just don't feel them. They are ruining my life as I've read happens to so many other people. Not the actual pvcs as I believe they are benign, but the feeling that my heart is malfunctioning and could just stop for no reason. Only a recent second EKG which shows the same thing as the first one I had during the infection relieves my fears somewhat.
Any thoughts?
